This Privacy Policy describes how GigMe ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the GigMe mobile app and mygigme.com website (together, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Device identifier. We generate a random ID stored on your device to associate your income entries, pay stubs, and deposits with your account. No name, email, or phone number is required to use the app.
- Income data you enter. Amounts, sources, dates, and tax estimates you log in the app.
- Pay stub records. The information printed on each pay stub you generate, including worker name and income source. Used to power pay stub verification at mygigme.com/verify.
- Deposit records. Amount, method (card or ACH), and Stripe transaction identifiers. Card and bank account numbers are handled directly by Stripe — GigMe never sees them.
- ITIN application data. Information you share with a Certifying Acceptance Agent through the app to start an ITIN application.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — store your income, generate pay stubs, process deposits, and connect you with CAAs.
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect fraud, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
Who we share it with
- Stripe processes all deposits. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Certifying Acceptance Agents receive the ITIN application data you choose to send them.
- Cloud infrastructure providers (Replit, AWS, Cloudflare) host and deliver the Service.
- We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
You can request deletion of all data tied to your device ID by emailing [email protected]. Pay stubs you've generated may be retained in our verification database so the verification codes you've shared with landlords and banks continue to resolve.
Children
GigMe is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
